Status Report 1 (9/28) a. I am still trying to gather evidences that would fit into the categories. I have to wait to get my content knowledge evidences because all of my papers are on my old computer at my parents home. I know I have several strongly written English papers. I do not know what I will have in the Social Studies section. I was wondering if I could use my historical inquiry paper. I really like the topic and I believe it is going to turn out really well. I really am struggling finding evidences for the leadership and collaboration. I was not asked to do the SIP project so I do not know what else I should use. I believe I am going to use my glogster from 306 for my 21st century category. I really like it and I think it shows all of the skills I have developed through my time at state. I was thinking about creating a new glogster that is about incorporating 21st century tools in the classroom using 21st century tools. I am going to do this if time permits. I am going back and forth between using a google site or one of the sites Bethany showed us in class.
b. The additional categories are my biggest problem. I do not even know where to start here. I have been trying to think of some good ideas but I have a problem with timing. I wanted to use my global travel and work with children in Guatemala but this was about a year before I started college. I have the same issue with the historical internship I completed on a colonial farm. This was before I started college so it is not applicable. I am really lost here.
c. I have several ideas for designs. All of my ideas match up with quotes.

Status Report 2 (10/3)
I have gotten farther on my action portfolio. I have decided that my extra two categories will be global awareness and literacy in schools. My artifacts for global awareness will be my time spent in Guatemala paired with the fundraiser I am doing called, happy tummies. My artifact for literacy in schools will be working with my CT on the 40 book challenge. I still need to find something else I want to pair it with. I was waiting to create my portfolio because I did not have access to any of my artifacts. I did go home this weekend, so I will have everything from my old laptop. I have not gotten a change to open it up yet. I am planing to get the majority of it done this weekend.

I have been working on setting up the basic structure of the site. I have put in all my categories and links. I want to have the format completely set up before I start to upload evidences. Next week I plan on being done with this portion of the site and will begin to upload my evidences. I also added quotes to each page that coinside with my theme a journey.

I have continued to work on my portfolio. This week I was able to locate some old projects on my older laptop. I am in the process of transferring these over to my new computer, reviewing them, and adding them to my portfolio.
Status Report 5 (11/28)
The past two weeks I have been able to upload all of my evidences. It was very easy because I had created the outline of the portfolio on my website already. I struggled with converting all of my documents to a PDF. They kept switching format. After, I completed this I added blurbs to explain the evidences and put them into context. I had someone read over them to make sure I did not make any mistakes. The only part I have left is to add my reflection paper and my content area statement. I am waiting to add these until I receive feedback from Dr. Young. I am hoping to have the portfolio completely done by wednesday.
